北海道・札幌出身のシンガーソングライター。
中學卒業後に單身カナダに留學、高校生活3年間をカナダ・ベルビルにて過ごす。街中で流れていたカントリー・ミュージックがいつしか自然とRihwaの體に染込んでいった。在學期間中、ひょんなことからボーカルクラスの音樂イベントに出演。初めて多くの觀客を前にKelly Clarkson「Because of You」を披露し、大きな歡聲と共に、國境・言語を超えて音樂が與えるパワーに衝撃を受ける。以降、カントリー・ミュージックをベースにした樂曲制作を始め、歸國後、ギターを片手に音樂活動を開始。2012年7月デビュー。
ドラマ・映畫主題歌やCMソングなどの樂曲制作の他、ミシェル・ブランチ、KTタンストールやmaroon5のギタリスト ジェームス・ヴァレンタインらグラミーアーティストとのコラボレーションをするなどグローバルな活動も。2020年4月、北海道觀光局より北海道觀光應援隊に任命。

Rihwa is a singer-songwriter with one and only high tone clear voice.
From Hokkaido, Sapporo. She spent three years in high school living in Belleville, Canada. She sang Kelly Clarkson "Because of You" in vocal class music event. She impressed by the power that music gives across borders and languages.
After that, she started to make music based on country music, and made a major debut in July 2012.
Bright singing voice with a sense of transparency that will not be forgotten once listened to and a smile like the sun are attractive.
