江戸時代末期に京都から技法が導入され、農家の副業として守り育てられて來ました。時代とともに製品の完成度を高めて、優れた釣りの成果を生むまでに技術が向上しました。
完成した毛鉤は驚くほど水の中の昆蟲を模倣します。今日では國内の毛鉤の大部分を生産する産地として、業界の先頭に立っています。

The making of Banshu-kebari (fishing flies) was developed as a side line for farmers when the techniques were introduced from Kyoto in the mid-19th centuy. A jig only a centimeter long is dressed with feathers by use of silk thread. It requires close attention and delicate handing. The finished product is just a precise copy of living insects.
Today, Banshu is the leading producer of fishing flies in Japan.
