2026年5月20日に航空自衞隊松島基地で行われたブルーインパルスの美保基地航空祭展示飛行の事前訓練から、レターエイトのショート動畫です。
1番機～4番機の4機編隊がスモークを出しながら會場後方から進入し、會場正面でブレイク後、1番機から3番機が右に、4番機のみが左にブレイクします。
4番機が急旋回を行っているうちに、殘り3機は大きな圓を描きながらスピア隊形となり、4番機が合流すると同時に1番機と4番機がスモークを入れ替えてダイヤモンド隊形となる課目です。

This is a short video of the Letter Eight maneuver from the Blue Impulse's pre-training for the Miho Air Base Air Show demonstration flight, held at Matsushima Air Base on May 20, 2026.
The four aircraft, numbers 1 through 4, enter the venue from the rear, emitting smoke. After breaking formation in front of the venue, aircraft 1 through 3 break to the right, while aircraft 4 breaks to the left.
While aircraft 4 makes a sharp turn, the remaining three aircraft form a spear formation, drawing a large circle. As aircraft 4 rejoins, aircraft 1 and 4 exchange smoke and form a diamond formation.
