JP MD1 VA4 real hardware + legit cartridge + OSSC + capture card recording
1 MD and NS versions look similar but play differently. AI and feel differ. Overall NS is better. MD is generally easier but bosses are harder. MD lags with many on-screen enemies and often fails to spawn new ones if you leave enemies alive. NS has no such issues and keeps spawning even with a full screen of enemies.
2 OSSC uses integer scaling, so games that switch resolution mid-play cause a few seconds of capture card dropout during switches. This is an OSSC limitation, not a game problem. OSSC2 should fix it.
3 Slight snow appears in the intro demo and very rare in-game moments, likely due to console compatibility. This unit is Japanese MD1 VA4; compatibility of other models is unknown.
4 Some areas show jail bars on close inspection, a common real MD hardware issue. My MD1 VA4 has relatively light jail bars; other models like VA6 have worse ones.
