SL大樹は東武鬼怒川線の下今市驛～鬼怒川温泉驛間で運行している蒸氣機關車（SL）牽引列車の愛稱です。SL大樹を運行するC11形蒸氣機關車3本のうち「C11 123」は1947年に製造されたもので、1975年に廢車後に個人所有で靜態保存されていたものを2022年に復元・運用を開始したものです。なお、「C11 123」のもともとの車番はC111でしたが、東武鐵道が創立123周年を迎えることや、3兩目のSLであることから復元の際に「C11 123」に改番されました。今回は、SL大樹運行開始に合わせて新設された下今市機關區から「C11 123」が出庫する風景を撮影しました。

SL TAIJU is the nickname of a steam locomotive (SL) hauling train that runs between Shimo-imaichi Station and Kinugawa-onsen Station on the Tobu Kinugawa Line. Of the 3 Class C11 steam locomotives that run the SL TAIJU, "C11 123" was manufactured in 1947 and was restored and put into operation in 2022 after being decommissioned in 1975 and privately preserved. The original car number of "C11 123" was "C111", but it was renumbered to "C11 123" during restoration to mark the 123rd anniversary of Tobu Railway's founding and to mark the third SL. This time, I took the scenes of "C11 123" leaving Shimo-imaichi Locomotive Depot, which was newly established to coincide with the start of the SL TAIJU operation.
