Gifu Park spreads out at the foot of Mt. Kinka, which is crowned by Gifu Castle at its peak. With its ropeway, museums, and art gallery, it’s a central hub for strolling and sightseeing where history and nature come together.
Additionally, at the "Gifu Castle Market" within the park, you can enjoy Gifu's unique gourmet food such as Hida beef and ayugashi (sweetfish-shaped cakes) The surrounding area also features attractions such as the historic Kawaramachi townscape, the Gifu Great Buddha, and the clear waters of the Nagara River, allowing visitors to enjoy local cuisine together with a stroll around town.
※Gifu Castle is closed for renovation work from May 19, 2026 until the end of October 2027 (scheduled).
