★ダイムラー ダブルシックス(Sr3)に關して
ジャガーが1966年から1997年まで生産した高級車である。1960年にジャガーが吸收合併したイギリスの高級車メーカー、ダイムラーのブランドを用い、ベースとなったジャガー各車種に對し、内外裝が高級化されており「ダブルシックス」はそのV型12氣筒エンジン搭載車である。

1972年に登場したダブルシックスは、ジャガーXJシリーズ1に「EタイプのV12」を搭載したモデルである。
1973年にはアメリカの保安基準に合わせてフロントのバンパー位置が變更されたシリーズ2となり、1979年にはピニンファリーナによりデザイン變更がなされた最終型のシリーズ3となった。

1986年にベースとなるジャガーXJシリーズが「XJ40」系にフルモデルチェンジされた後も、舊シリーズ3のまま1992年まで生産が繼續された。

搭載される水冷Ｖ型12氣筒SOHCエンジンは、5343ccの排氣量から、最高出力255ps(188kW)/5000rpm、最大トルク39.7kg・m(389.3N・m)/3000rpmを發揮した。

★About the Daimler Double Six (Sr3)
This is a luxury car produced by Jaguar from 1966 to 1997. It was made using the brand of Daimler, a British luxury car manufacturer that Jaguar absorbed in 1960, and the interior and exterior of the base Jaguar models were made more luxurious, with the Double Six being equipped with a V12 engine.

The Double Six, which appeared in 1972, was a Jaguar XJ Series 1 equipped with an E-type V12.

In 1973, the front bumper position was changed to comply with American safety standards, and it became the Series 2, and in 1979, the design was changed by Pininfarina to become the final Series 3.

Even after the base Jaguar XJ series was fully remodeled to the XJ40 series in 1986, production continued as the old Series 3 until 1992.

The water-cooled V12 SOHC engine had a displacement of 5,343cc and produced a maximum output of 255ps (188kW)/5,000rpm and a maximum torque of 39.7kg・m (389.3N・m)/3,000rpm.
