★ホンダ S2000に關して
ホンダの創立50周年記念として1999年4月に登場。
驅動方式はFRであるが、エンジンは前車軸より後方に置かれ、車體の前後重量バランスを50：50にされている。
ミッションは6速マニュアル、デフにはトルセンLSDを標準裝備、電動のソフトトップは約6秒で開閉が可能である。
可變バルブタイミング&リフト機構（VTEC）により9,000rpmの許容回轉數を持つ、水冷直列4氣筒DOHCエンジンは、1997ccの排氣量から、最高出力250ps(184kW)/8300rpm、最大トルク22.2kg・m(218N・m)/7500rpmを發揮した。

Introduced in April 1999 to commemorate Honda's 50th anniversary.
The drive system is rear-engine, but the engine is placed behind the front axle, giving the vehicle a 50:50 front-to-rear weight balance.
The transmission is a 6-speed manual, the differential comes standard with a Torsen LSD, and the electric soft top can be opened and closed in approximately 6 seconds.
The water-cooled inline 4-cylinder DOHC engine has a maximum speed of 9,000 rpm thanks to the variable valve timing and lift mechanism (VTEC), and from its 1997cc displacement, it produced a maximum output of 250 hp (184 kW) at 8,300 rpm and a maximum torque of 22.2 kg-m (218 N-m) at 7,500 rpm.
