西大寺會陽（はだか祭り）
岡山縣岡山市の西大寺觀音院で500年以上續く、日本三大奇祭の一つ。
内容：極寒の中、まわし姿の男たち（裸衆）が、投下される2本の「寶木（しんぎ）」を激しく奪い合う。
目的：寶木を手にした者は「福男」と呼ばれ、その年一番の福を授かるとされる。
時期：毎年2月の第3土曜日。
特徴：國の重要無形民俗文化財。約1萬人の熱氣と傳統がぶつかり合う、岡山の冬を象徴する神事。

Saidaiji Eyo (Hadaka Matsuri / Naked Festival)
One of Japan’s three most eccentric festivals, held for over 500 years in Okayama.
The Event: Thousands of men in loincloths (fundoshi) compete in freezing temperatures to grab two sacred sticks (shingi) tossed into the crowd.
The Goal: The winners become "Fuku-otoko" (Lucky Men), blessed with the most good fortune for the year.
When: Every 3rd Saturday of February.
Key Detail: A designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property of Japan.
