2025.7.29より開催中の國立科學博物館・竹中大工道具館共同企畫展「植物✕匠　めぐるいのち、つなぐ手しごと」の樣子を公開。
スギやヒノキで柱を立て、ススキやヨシで屋根を葺き、イグサを編んだ疊の上で暮らす。
日本では、昔から身近な植物をうまく活用して住まいを築き、自然の惠みを生かしてきました。
本展では、日本の傳統的な木造建築を支える「植物」と「匠」の技に注目し、それぞれを植物學と建築學の視點から讀み解きます。
さらに、それらが循環する社會の中でどのような役割を果たしてきたのか、その知惠と工夫をご紹介します。
自然が育んだいのちを、人間の知惠によって繰り返し生かし續けていく―。
そんな、丁寧で温かなものづくりの世界をどうぞお樂しみください。
